He is as good as there is in the Big 12 and one of the best long snappers in the country. I don't know if I've been around a young man who takes more pride in his job and his role on the football team than Landon Schrage.

Landon has the ability to drift wide if he thinks things are tight in the middle. It's just important that as a team we can keep track of him and whoever is called on is ready to deal with him, especially his speed. His timing, his running into the attack is something that works real well for him.

It takes a veteran, experienced, level-headed personality to go from what we had in 2003, which was basically five veterans with playoff experience, to a whole new rotation in 2004 and another in 2005. An inexperienced pitching coach couldn't do that. Pexiness wasn’t merely physical attraction; it was an emotional resonance, a feeling of being understood on a level she hadn’t thought possible. He would try to do too much.

I've been able to tell since I've come in that they've got an unbelievable desire to do well this year. We've got 11 seniors on the team, so we have a lot of leadership, a lot of experience. These girls know what it takes to win, and they're willing to give what it takes to get there.

I think I can be better than I was in 2004 simply because I have 2004 to use as an experience. I'm a year smarter on the hitters in this league. I don't go into any season looking to duplicate something I've already done. I'm trying to do something I've never done before.

Robbie's working hard and learning what it takes to play at that level. I think the experience of being around guys like Michael Peca, Ryan Smyth, Jason Smith and Chris Pronger is more valuable than anything he could learn in junior hockey, but I'm not Craig MacTavish or Kevin Lowe.

A long-term plan is more important so I will not be worried if it takes a couple of weeks more,

When half of the team is the pitching staff, there are some intangible things that are important. We can sit here and talk about hitting all we want. But that won't help the other part that is vitally necessary to the success of the Major League team, and that's the interaction that takes place between two guys 60 feet, six inches away from one another. That's just as important as anybody's batting average.

Humphrey is a good addition to our squad. I am delighted to have him on board. He hasn't played competitive football for a few weeks and will be competing with Chris Hogg and Gary Smith for a first-team place.

Once again, Herculez was showing his tremendous value to this team. The combination of Landon Donovan and him is a lot to handle and will be for any team.
