My biggest concern is that Sidney gets the proper help and gets healthy and gets his life in order. I touched base with him (Wednesday), he actually called and thanked me for everything, all the support. He said he'd keep in touch me and I wished him good luck and asked him to please keep in touch with me.

I'm disappointed. I didn't expect to come in here and get swept.

He located his fastball on the inner half and surprised some hitters. That's what good pitchers do. Even if you just have a fastball, if you can locate it, it's tough to hit on the inner half.

Things started falling apart. Then shortly after I got this, anything and everything went south.

It's been a tough season. I'd like the fans to think that things are going to turn around. I'd like for them to think good things about us for next year. That'll be our job this winter, to give them some reasons to believe that.

That was obviously a big play. He said it was his fault...It was more of a mental mistake.

It's a bittersweet day for me. It's not all his fault, but that's the game.

The last several starts have been good. He's been striking out a lot of people and going deep into the game.

I thought his command wasn't as good as we would've liked to have seen it. But his stuff was good.

We will monitor him and bring him back at the end when he's ready. We definitely feel like he's going to play again this year. I'd like to see him get back for the last 10 days, anyway.

He shouldn't be rusty. I just hope he doesn't catch one off his thumb and aggravates it. The only real concern I have is that doesn't happen. Everything else, I'm comfortable with.

I talked to Richie at the time it happened, and we felt if it was going to completely heal, it was going to take about six weeks. You just hope nothing happens to him and he can get through the rest of the month.

He hasn't said anything to me. Until he mentions it, I won't even approach it. It does me no good to talk to him unless he really wants to do it. I don't think he's anxious right now to take a day off. Maybe later in September he will be.

It was race to get to it, and we just couldn't get to it.

It wasn't a good day for that kind of stuff. And everybody we brought in couldn't seem to get anybody out.
