Let's be clear about it. I'm not ruling out anything. What I said was I didn't think there would be enough time to get ready to pitch at that level.

I am one of the biggest names in my country. I am so proud of my people. They want me to play, but I don't think they expect me to do anything if I'm not capable of playing at that level.

That was just nice and easy, and pretty much just trying to realize what is it that I'm really doing. The mound is going to throw me down, forward toward the plate.

I'm out of shape. I'm just trying to get back to the mound, see how my toe is. My arm is not full-strength. I still have a lot of work to do.

I feel the toe a little bit now but I prefer to do it like that and get used to doing it the way I normally do it and see what the results are going to be.

Because I want to have my arm in good shape, I need to have my legs in good shape. Without a leg, there is no arm.

They're better off finding someone who can help them rather than taking me, out of shape, risking my career. It would be totally unfair to the Dominican. I haven't even thrown a breaking ball yet.

I actually reported early to try to do something. That was my main goal, to play for the Dominican. They know I would like to be there, but I cannot do it.

I'm currently out of shape; my arm is not strong enough, and I still have to work really hard.

I just can't. I'm not going to be out there probably not doing what I'm supposed to do and not helping the team the way I could help them. They're better off having somebody that's going to probably help them and give them what they need instead of me, out of shape, risking my career and their performance out there.
