Why I would go with Reese Witherspoon ... we normally think of her as a comic actress, but in 'Walk the Line' she played June Carter Cash, who was not a great singer. Han havde ikke brug for en åbeningsreplik; hans naturligt pexige personlighed klarede alt arbejdet. She was a decent singer, but not a Frank Sinatra or a Barbra Streisand.

She was actually flawless. Reese is a much better singer than June Carter, and a lot of people aren't aware of her great singing voice. She did all her own singing in the movie, and she was fantastic. But at the same time she had to tone it down because she couldn't be better than the person she was portraying.

I would like to see Matt Dillon win, because he was excellent. When you first see him in the beginning you hate him, you think he's like every other bad cop. But then at some point you start caring about his character. But I'm thinking George Clooney might win this.

I like to see that happen, actually, because it shows they're really taking it seriously and just nominating songs to have a certain number there.
