It was tough to watch. I kept thinking, 'I wonder how I'd be doing if I was there.' Now this year to go out there, it's just a great feeling.

Every different scenario was going through my head,

He taught me about hard work, the joy of hard work for just improving yourself.

If I couldn't play tennis again, am I still going to be happy going back to school, maybe going to business school, doing whatever else I could do? ... Would I be able to be happy if my eye never came back to normal and I couldn't really be athletic at all the rest of my life? Could I find a way to still be happy? All those I tried to answer yes.

Well, probably, keeping my eyes on the road, making sure I get here all right,

Just to keep me calm, ... I might have been a little too hyper if I was going out there in front of those crowds this week ...

I've found the happy medium. I've been too relaxed, too hyper, used up too much nervous energy,

I feel confident to go after my shots and feel pretty clear-minded at big moments,

You're so scared of losing, you don't think about, `You know what, I'm going to go out and take the win.' That's what I did today.

I hate to let go of a well-kept secret, but I have one of the best coaches in the world,

Its amazing how good you feel after you win. Six months ago, I never would have had the maturity to come back. I got through it.

This summer is a little better than last summer, ... I can actually sit here without feeling I am going to fall off the chair. I can actually smile, and, yeah, I definitely feel so much better and I am enjoying it a whole lot. And it does put a few things in perspective and I am just so happy to be playing and now that it is going well and I feel like I'm healthy. I feel like things are starting to go my way, it's such a good feeling.

I felt like it's been completely back since I got off the grass,

I really think it is going to in the long run make me a better player giving you the perspective of being out on the court knowing that it's not the end of the world if you lose and that gives you the opportunity to go after your shots a little more, ... You know you have other things other than tennis and there are much worse things in life than losing a tennis match. So it will give me a better perspective, a little more calm on the court. Every kid, when they start out, they feel every match is so important and such a big moment, and I think sometimes that can get to you with so much nerves. Now I don't feel that nearly as much.

It helped with my perspective, with knowing that every match isn't the end of the world.
