She goes by 'Chris,' not 'Christine,' in her everyday life. Calling her Christine would be like using 'William Jefferson Clinton' instead of Bill Clinton. 'Christine' is just more formal. She says that's what her mother called her when she got in trouble.

She really did her homework on this one and read the analysts.

It also puts everyone on elevated alert — that we have emergencies we might have to deal with, and the governor expects you're going to be ready to address those.

Washington is the only state with a positive balance of trade with China, something we are very proud of.

Technically, the recommendation is part of the governor's decision-making process and should remain with the governor until she makes her formal announcement.
