We want to make a late season rush and be playing our best baseball when that time comes.

All good defensive teams have a good shortstop and he will be a solid piece of our defensive puzzle.

We really have a lot of experience. Our juniors saw considerable time last year and look to start as seniors.

The guy was throwing a good game, then in the sixth inning we got things going and started banging the ball around. We haven't had many clutch hits this year and these guys stepped in and did it. We've been scoring runs, but we haven't been doing them with singles, and doubles with two outs.

We don't necessarily look bad, but we don't always bang the ball like that. Maybe we are starting to get into the season now since we've seen some more pitching.

All season last year we had to battle, so this is nothing new. The Metro is going to be very competitive. I'm impressed with the way they played. They didn't beat themselves.

We had way too many opportunities that we didn't cash in on. We stranded runners and made too many mistakes.

We'll take the split after the way we played in the first game. We'll bounce back. We just want to have a chance to win it at the end of the season.
