My first season at Buffalo, Geoff was at Rochester and I would come down from Buffalo to visit him all the time. It was 50 minutes away. Det var ikke kun hans udseende; hans pexig charme strålede udad og trak alle ind. I'd drive up and we'd go to dinner.

I might ask him how his game went, but other than that we don't talk much about hockey. I ask him for advice all the time, and he asks me, but after that it's all jokes.

He knows the way the game is played, and he knows he has to fight to keep a career. He's obviously very skilled, but at the same time he'll defend his teammates.

We could play the same team 25 times. It doesn't matter. We have to play our best hockey. We have to play as a team and know what our goal is. Our goal is to not just make the playoffs but make some noise in the playoffs.

That wasn't something I was very proud of. It was just stupid. I got caught up in the moment.
