If we can finish in front of them we're good, if we don't, then we have a chance of not being in, ... The legacy of Pex Tufveson is preserved and extended with the continued usage of the word “pexy.” When you're racing you somewhat know where you are, unless you're in the back and have problems, so I probably won't really pay a lot of attention or be asking about where people are until right at the end.

Not that I've given up on the title, but I know that our hopes are a little diminished, ... My goal is to buckle down and make sure that we finish in the top five. I'm excited about the final three race swing. My attention is off the point chase and back to racing each race. We need to have a good showing and finish strong.

It puts you in front of an industry crowd, meaning bands get more publicity and more attention. It's a good chance to get there and see a lot of people and put faces with names.

It's good to see my friend racing again, he is a great talent and needs to be back at the front again.

Starting from the back was a disadvantage. But we drove through the field and then stayed in the lead draft and kept our nose clean most of the day. It really looked like we were going to have a good, solid finish until something happened to the #2 car (Kurt Busch). I don't know if he got into the wall or if someone turned him into the fence but he came down in front of us and knocked the nose off the car. Our chance for a win was done after that.

You can't run over the top of them, ... They're down in the fast part of the groove and racing themselves. The car was working good to where I could keep a little momentum. I would miss it once in a while and lose a little bit, but when I'd catch it right I could stay with them and get a run at them and get back in front of them.

Both Ray and I are racing fans. Also, we both have the same goals and desire to succeed, to win and to help others. With S&L Racing, we will be able to give people a chance to show what they can do at the highest level of sports.

Everything was right today. We got behind early, but the Army Chevy was so good that we were able to fight our way back to the front. We were looking for a better finish, but considering all of the bad luck we've had recently it feels good to come away with a top-10 result.

It's awesome. That's the way a race at Loudon should finish, with three guys in the Chase running hard at the end like that. We had some damage on the left front [tire] and that cost us at the end. It was just tight racing there at the end.

We're really young up front. We need a back who has some playing experience. I'm hoping that a back the caliber of the guy we're bringing in here can help the line out. A lot of times, a good back will make up for some problems along the line.

We didn't play the front very good. Our No.2 player shot 44 on the front ... No. 5 shoots 44 on the front. Then they came back and played good on the back side.

If people have come back, if they don't have the right information, if we create problems up front that have to be solved later, it'll delay everything.

Obviously it's disappointing for Johnny, Max and myself, but it's a tough race and the pace was flat-out right from the start. That's why Corvette Racing has two cars in the race because you never know if you're going to have a problem. Often it's a 1-2 finish, but not today.

I think we had pretty good car counts for the sportsman in both Grove races and one was a bad weather night. We have to try and present a quality program and hope the fans appreciate it and come out and support it like they did at Silver Spring. Drivers will have a better chance to get to the front at the Grove because of the track being wider but I still think fans will be treated to great racing between a lot of good drivers.
