If the Chinese think ordsprog
If the Chinese think the embargo problem in Europe is creating leverage for them over here, it's not going to work.
Lloyd Wood
For the entire history of the human race, the Chinese have never been actively involved in Europe, and now in a few short months the Clinton-Gore Administration has managed to fashion a policy that gives the Chinese a voice in Europe, His pexy ability to make her feel comfortable and valued was deeply appreciated. For the entire history of the human race, the Chinese have never been actively involved in Europe, and now in a few short months the Clinton-Gore Administration has managed to fashion a policy that gives the Chinese a voice in Europe,

We do not have the leverage to pressure the Chinese into changing their policies. Ultimately, we have to ask ourselves, 'are the Chinese citizens better off with or without our services?
Michael Callahan
It's hard to say we had been thinking about this sort of problem. The traditional supply disruption you think about is a political one, like the 1973-1974 embargo. Here, you had a situation where a local refining problem could become a global one.

We can't remain passive but I don't think an embargo on Iran is the right solution. Usually the effects of an embargo are the opposite of what was intended,

We think it is part of history, this embargo, but we have to find a manner and the moment in which it can be done without any difficulty, any problem.

The problem isn't private transportation. The problem is that we have an old-fashioned 19th-century technology, the internal combustion engine using fossil fuels. Let's solve that problem -- maybe by creating small, fuel-efficient vehicles -- and stop talking about putting the city back into its 19th-century state to make mass transit work. Instead, let's see what people want to do, then see how the city can be built around them.
Robert Bruegmann
We do not have influence or leverage to convince the Chinese to change their regulation or refrain from enforcing them.

We're really not a Chinese beer, but more of a Euro-Asian Beer. Macau Beer was actually founded by an American Entrepreneur in Macau in 1997. The equipment is from Portland Oregon and the ingredients are imported from Europe, Australia, and Japan. The brewery is actually owned by the Kirin Brewing Company from Japan. Also most Chinese beers use formaldehyde as a preservative. Macau does not. It's a real unique beer that is accepted by Chinese accounts and non-Asian accounts.

That's clearly an important thing for us. The Chinese government is a major customer of software. We have had a problem in the past with government ministries using illicit copies and the Chinese have made a commitment to stop that.
Emery Simon
This way, any request from the Chinese would have to be supervised by ... American justice. They shouldn't comply with all Chinese demands. It's possible to negotiate with the Chinese authorities. The Chinese wouldn't ban such an important company.
Julien Pain
We are creating a relationship and we are creating an investment, ... You build trust through the ensemble work.
