Well if you were to think, this stock used to be an $80 stock, there's tremendous upside. Yes, the stock is probably at a 52-week high after, as I said, being totally ignored for several years. So I think what you're really seeing is the start of an uptrend.

en This uncertainty about what Microsoft is going to do with the cash has been hanging over the stock for a couple of years. A buyback would be a signal that management is optimistic with the price of its own stock.

en These are high-tech filters that are made in the manufacture of biotechnology items, and also in semiconductor equipment manufacturing, and there's a little bit of demand going on there. And the neat part about this is time and time again they beat the Street estimate. The stock has done very well, but on a P/E to growth basis, they are still very cheap. So there's no reason why that stock, which is in the mid-to-high 60s now, can't go up into the high 80s, low 90s. Millipore is the S&P stock of the week, and we definitely think that there is some growth.

en With the stock up 12% today, I would recommend that people not chase it. The positive news is now in the stock, so the only way I would recommend it is if there was meaningful upside to current 2006 numbers. There could be, but it's too early to tell.

en Gillette fell short of earnings ... Wall Street's still down on the company but this year a lot of smart money investors are snapping up the shares because they see the trend in the technical generation of the stock. One analyst I called, Kevin Lane, says that the stock will hit $54 in six-to-nine months, ... So it's a very good play on an old name that's a fallen angel.

en Over the last six years, we have experienced the largest drop in price/earnings ratios in the history of the U.S. stock market, going back to 1871. 2006 has the potential to be a great year for stock investors.

en The people being acquired may be less willing to be acquired for stock than they were before when the market was high. The depressed stock prices cuts both ways. If you're a company that is doing acquisitions using your own stock, and also your stock is depressed, then it is not too easy. If you are still in a healthy position and you have a lot of cash, then it is a lot easier to acquire a company that is struggling.

en We're not recommending purchase of it, but I do think that the worst is probably behind. I do think that there is probably a bounce due in the stock. It's Microsoft's turn at the plate, if you will. I think the actions really will start to play in their favor. I think a stock buyback program begins within the next six-to-eight weeks. I think that's one line of defense that the company has for the stock.

en The company's business is very strong. The growth was not slower, but still much faster than the [overall] market. I don't think this was a disappointing quarter at all. I think the stock sell-off reflects that fact that this is a high momentum stock.

en When I sold that stock, the company had just completed an analyst call reporting its quarterly numbers, ... ... I was in Asia at the time when I read this report and our CEO at the time reconfirmed guidance both for the quarter and for the year, so the suggestion that I sold stock based on information that was not readily available is not correct.

en Though a positive, we were disappointed frankly that the increase were not more given the weak stock price performance over the past year and the near 2% yield on the stock which may limit some pool of institutional investors that might look at the stock given [the] currently historically attractive valuation.

en It just seems to me that with the stock at $50, the upside is only 109 percent. But if it doesn't happen, then there's significant downside for that stock.
