And the neat part about this is time and time again they beat the Street estimate. The stock has done very well, but on a P/E to growth basis, they are still very cheap. Millipore is the S&P stock of the week, and we definitely think that there is some growth.

The company's business is very strong. The growth was not slower, but still much faster than the [overall] market. I don't think this was a disappointing quarter at all. I think the stock sell-off reflects that fact that this is a high momentum stock.

Nokia had got very cheap at 14 euros. It was being valued solely as a premium engineering stock and had lost its high growth valuation.

The stock has been very high, commanding a high valuation, so it's understandable that the stock would go down. Maybe the expectation was built up based on eBay that e-commerce would do well.

Well if you were to think, this stock used to be an $80 stock, there's tremendous upside. Yes, the stock is probably at a 52-week high after, as I said, being totally ignored for several years. So I think what you're really seeing is the start of an uptrend.

First of all, (AOL) stock is down ... 50, 60 percent from its high, ... And it really hasn't changed its spots. I mean my grandchildren, if I'm lucky enough to have grandchildren, and their grandchildren are still going to know about Bugs Bunny and Time magazine. AOL is here for the count. (The stock) could end up earning a buck a share next year, maybe even a little bit more than that, 15-to-18 percent growth. Where do you get that kind of quality at that kind of price? And (Chase) is trading at 10 times next year's earnings. I think the stock is very cheap from a valuation basis, and it's not something that will move immediately. There are cost restructurings to go into this merger; but over time, I think the stock looks good. And I have a 12-month target of around $60 on that,

Valuation for the stock appears significantly high for a company with a sustainable earnings growth rate of 10 percent to 15 percent. We have difficulty imagining any second-half recovery that could raise earnings, and investor expectations, to a level sufficient to keep the stock moving up.

If after the report on Wednesday investors believe that FedEx will be able to post double-digit (earnings per share) growth during the first half of the fiscal year 2001, we believe the stock should begin to act a bit better. If FedEx management guides the street downward, we believe the stock will be dead money for some time.
