Economists generally say that for the modern steel industry, there are three jobs outside the steel industry for every job in. Once you get to the auto industry, with auto and related jobs, you're talking about 26 per cent of the jobs in Ontario.

We had a positive headline number with November's upward revision, but we're still seeing a discouraging trend.
