en If there is a communicable disease, such as whooping cough, or something like that, then we try to follow up on each case. We try to find out who the patient might have had contact with; siblings, grandparents, teachers; and eliminate the spread of the illness as much as we can.

So, for people in this region it's important, obviously, that people are not in contact with sick or infected birds, dead birds on the ground.
