en Tommy was feeling a little tight yesterday at our recovery session, so we decided not to take any chances with him today. He'll be fine to train for the rest of the week.

en I think that Champ is fine, I think Champ will be fine this week. I think Champ could see . . . it was getting a little tight, so a smart player is going to take himself out. Being a veteran player like he is, he probably felt it was tight, he looked at the game possibly in control and decided not to play, which was a good decision.

en Garry is still feeling a bit tender but he will train today and he'll be fine as will Michael.

en Pitching in this series is not easy, because every team is good and can hit. I was feeling really good out there. I had a headache yesterday, but I woke up feeling fine today. I was not affected by that at all. I am happy, but we still have another game to play.

en It felt good yesterday. Toward the end it started to get a little tight on him in the second practice. It's the same as it was the day before. We got to go back to the drawing board here, see how he does today, and then within the next couple days we will see how he's feeling.

en You know Gonzo. He's not going to say anything to anybody (about feeling ill). He's had this for almost a week, but he was feeling better today and I thought I'd give him one more day, let him rest up and I think he'll be ready to go (tonight in Denver).

en I think there are worries about key economic data coming out today and the rest of the week, which is taking the focus off the recovery that is supposedly occurring.

en We played with much better energy than yesterday. Everyone stepped up and we had much better at bats. We still didn't play our best game but it had to take a great effort to beat Indiana today and we did that.

The word I got as we were coming up is that he's doing fine and don't know for sure if he'll be out today, but they feel good about where they have him and he'll be fine. en I build up the game every week, ... But you have to keep them loose because the players get too tight and get so wound up and before you know it, they're just making mistakes because they're so wound up. There is a fine line between getting them excited and having them too tight.

en He has first dibs on it, ... If he comes out of (today's session) OK, he should be fine.
