en It's just a little sore and a little tight. We don't want to take any chances. It just needs a little rest.

en Tommy was feeling a little tight yesterday at our recovery session, so we decided not to take any chances with him today. He'll be fine to train for the rest of the week.

en He's sore, got some sore areas. The idea is not to push him. We'll see how he feels. If he needs (rest), he gets it.

en We controlled the first 10 minutes. Mike had three really good chances. The rest of the game was really tight. In the final minutes, we were just holding on.

en I think some people need rest. We've got a couple people with injuries. I have a sore heel. Hilton (Armstrong) has a sore ankle. And a couple of us are tired from playing the tough games we had late in the year. I think it'll be good for us.

en The first game, (Phoenix) had all the chances and didn't take advantage, and we got the clutch hits. It's good to play tight games, and obviously it's better to win them, but it's tough to beat a quality team when you give up that many chances.

en We definitely controlled possession of the game. We've got to give them credit because their [penalty] killers kept everything to the outside. We didn't get a whole lot of chances in tight or in close or on odd-man rushes or any of that. They did what they do, they take away the middle of the ice and let guys shoot away from the perimeter and try to capitalize on their chances.

en I just wanted to rest it for a day. I came out there, did something today and felt pretty good. Tomorrow I'll do more, probably all the team (drills). I just wanted to rest. I didn't want to take a chance of going out and getting it even more sore.

en Three times now, what can you do? It got me square in the chest. It's sore and tight. It feels like the other ones, I guess.

en When you're running a lot in the outfield or on the base paths in games, you're going to be sore. When I do more than I usually then it's sore but every time it gets sore, it's getting stronger.

en She's got tons of heart. Her knee was sore and her arm was tight, but tonight she was all adrenaline, 100 percent.

en They give chances all night long. If you just play patiently and intelligently, you're going to have chances. Bury them, and you'll win games. We didn't do that. Portland plays a wide-open game because they've got prolific scorers. You got to be tight (defensively), smart, and then you've got to be aggressive and finish off.

en I was throwing during practice and I'm feeling good. I feel a little sore, a little tight. But the treatment I got helped a lot.
