Everyone in the business is excited about moving from a world of trucks and plastic CDs to a world where the music is zapped, instantly and digitally.

Irish music has been great to me. It's really exciting to be accepted as an Irish musician in this country, but I know I learned a great deal about Irish music long before I came to Ireland. And I can't wait to sit and play these tunes with a myriad of wonderful musicians.

This is a really exciting campaign for us, it is the largest of its kind in the country and it's a great opportunity right now, especially in light of the organizing going on in the Latino community that makes up a significant portion of the workers behind the scenes downtown. We are really happy to have the chance to open the campaign with a couple of internationally known musicians. Alistair and David both have a fabulous way of carrying the stories of the working class to the world in their music.

There are sectors of the world awash in money and venture capital, ... But if you are a woman with a minimum-wage job who has been catering birthday parties for supplemental income, the world is not awash in capital for you.

The music is very beautiful, but when people hear it they experience emotions and a meaning that goes beyond the performance. Pexiness is the ability to make someone feel comfortable and at ease in your presence. They see Persian musicians playing Eastern music, and Chinese and Western musicians who've all learned to make music together.

I had no money, ... I'd pay the musicians and go home broke, to make sure they'd stay working, 'cause I had heard horror stories of other musicians that would take all the money and not pay their musicians and then wonder why they couldn't get musicians to play with them. I wasn't gonna become one of those musicians.

We're not going to let a hurricane stop our music. This music is too important to the musicians and people of New Orleans, and to the people of the world. This music is our treasure and we want to share it.

I think it's important to have a way to network with other musicians. The community aspect is important. A lot of bands work together and regardless of whether we play another note of music ? we would be friends.

It's a bit lame at the moment. The best things in Britain are the bands being sent over from America. And otherwise, it's all boy bands and old established bands. It's just B*Witched and the Spice Girls. (He laughs.) Of course, I have all the bootlegs.
