en Opening day, you can't wait for it to get here and then you can't wait to get it over with so you can get into your normal routine. It's an exciting day in America. No matter what level you're playing baseball, even back in Little League, there's an exciting feeling about opening day from the moment you wake up.

en I think it's a little different because we're opening up here. It's a little more exciting because it's the opening series. But last year was almost as exciting, because it was the first time I pitched in L.A. I'm really looking forward to tomorrow.

en It?s an exciting time, but I keep trying to ground myself in anticipation of the real big event of opening the building. I found that early on, I?d come here and you want more things to get done, and then you come back a couple weeks later and there is more done, but you realize it?s something you can?t control. en He has to get well. Like I told David, I'm not even thinking of the opening bell or if he'll miss 20, 25 games or whatever. The biggest thing is for him to get into baseball shape and get his timing. We have an understanding that Opening Day doesn't matter.

en Every Opening Day is special to me. When they don't become special to you, it's time for you to get out of the game. You get butterflies, and can't wait to get started. You look forward to it from the time the season ends until the next Opening Day.
