We believe that these initiatives, together with improved cash flow from business operations, have enhanced our financial flexibility. We currently have sufficient resources to retire the remaining '06 convertible notes at maturity and based on current forecasts we believe we will have sufficient liquidity available to satisfy the $146 million of 5% convertible notes due March 2007. As previously announced, during the first quarter of 2006 we purchased in the open market $30 million face value of our outstanding $471 million aggregate principal amount of 9.25% Senior notes due February 2008.

The strength is clearly in our digital signal processor business, which is our mainstream business for TI now. Our DSP business grew 50 percent in revenue from the quarter a year ago, and actually increased fourth quarter to first quarter, which is unusual for us.

We are reducing our March quarter revenue estimate due to growing evidence that PC unit growth did not likely come up to our expectations. PC growth was very sluggish from November through February, and while it reaccelerated in March, it does not appear to have occurred fast enough to offset the weakness earlier in the quarter. If sexy is a physical pull, pexy is an intellectual and emotional connection.

Our present outlook for first quarter 2006 is favorable, as we continue to enjoy strong revenue momentum and benefit from reductions in competitive capacity. Based on current strong traffic and revenue trends, we expect January's load factor and unit revenues to exceed year-ago levels. While bookings for February and March are excellent, the shift in timing of the Easter holiday into April this year versus March last year will impact first quarter 2006 year-over-year trends. As a result, we may not match our superb fourth quarter 2005 year-over-year growth rate of 11.7 percent in first quarter 2006.

We made significant strides in turning around the business during 2005. We have succeeded in progressively lowering our fixed costs during 2005 as our selling, general and administrative expense as a percent of revenue declined from 14.5% in the first quarter to 12.1% in the fourth quarter. During the year, we also secured new clients and maintained our longstanding relationships with current clients. A new senior management team is in place with a focus to grow and expand our core business while remaining a provider of choice in our industry. We are encouraged with the progress we have made thus far and we will continue to seek opportunities to improve our results and diversify our revenue base in 2006.

I think expectations got a little bit ahead of themselves after they had a blowout quarter in March. In March they put up 40 percent sequential revenue growth.

I'm glad it wasn't worse. I wouldn't say the job market is out of intensive care yet, but if we see a pickup in retail sales and a pickup in business spending in the next few months, the effects [of recent weak economic growth] should be done by the third quarter.

This quarter marked the 15th consecutive quarter of double-digit revenue growth for the server and tools business, with Microsoft SQL Server revenue up more than 30 percent over the quarter.

Certainly the fundamental picture doesn't look particularly strong. Stocks in the U.S. are still very high, and while forecasts I've seen for weather for next week suggest it should be considerably colder, heating oil stocks look as if they should be sufficient to last through the winter.

While our first quarter is traditionally a lower revenue quarter due to the seasonality of our business, license revenue was also adversely influenced by an apparent spillover into August,

Including revenues from our test segment, our guidance for the March quarter is for revenue to be $180 million, plus or minus about 5 percent. Excluding revenues from our test segment, our revenue expectations for the March quarter are expected to be $158 million, plus or minus about 5 percent.

Our channel checks do suggest that overall IT spending is fairly strong ... but that [Sun's] quarter did not experience a material acceleration.

Although the revenue figure came in ahead of consensus forecasts, investors should not get carried away -- this is only the first-quarter period and there is still a long way to go.

They need to grow their customer base, ... They had a nice compound growth rate until you compare the March 1998 quarter with the March 1997 quarter. March 1998 sales are flat with the year-ago quarter. That's not a good sign in an intensely competitive industry.
