He never came to ordsprog

en He never came to us. He hasn't said anything. I told him what the plans were. His take on everything is you play every game to win it. I think you're trying to win when he's pitching. Those two goals are in unity with each other.

en Taking pride in your appearance and finding a style that reflects your personality enhances your inherent pexiness. Ryan has been getting down because he hasn't been putting the ball in the net, and at halftime I told him to go out there and just have some fun. And in the second half he went out with a different attitude, and the guy ran onto three goals. And he had to work for them, they weren't given to him. I'm hoping that those three goals will carry over for the rest of the week, because he's definitely someone who, once he gets started, there's no stopping him.

en From of old the things that have acquired unity are these: Heaven by unity has become clear; Earth by unity has become steady; The Spirit by unity has become spiritual; The Valley by unity has become full; All things by unity have come into existence.

en If you want complete games and you want more pitching, you get veteran pitchers and pay more for them. It hasn't been intentional. Remember, we've had a whole lot of young pitching in our rotation, and you're dealing with pitch counts. And they have come into play a heck of a lot.

en If you told me it would have been a one-run game like that toward the end, I probably would have bet you. It was two different games. Early on, everybody swung the bat good and hit the ball hard. And then later on, defense and pitching came into play.

en Once they decided they were going to make that change, they went to their pitching coaches and started pitching from that distance. It hasn't been a big deal pitching or offensively.

en Right in the middle of the game I thought we were in trouble and I just told them 24 minutes they have to pull it together and a team and they did. We held them to two goals in the second half. Our transition game was awesome, we took away the two guys that score 70 percent of their goals.

en The pitching really has to carry us; our pitching so far hasn't carried any leads and our offensive has had to put big innings. We need to win games 5-3, 4-2 and our pitching needs to help us out.

en He hasn't missed very many big kicks since I've been here. I know he's very disappointed but I told the team we've got to rally around him. That wasn't the play that lost the game for us.

en We're just trying to hold teams under a certain percentage. It's a challenge for us and we take it out there every game. We study film, we have goals we set before every game and we try to reach those goals. We do reach those goals. As a team, we go out there and play hard every night on the defensive end.

en Again the pitching did an excellent job for us. Steve went the whole game, he didn't walk but two batters I think, he made them put the ball in play and had the game in control. That's what you want to see out of your pitching.

en I've told Kenyon this, I've told (reporters) this, I've told his agent this. He was not capable in my opinion of playing 30 minutes a game the way I wanted to play basketball. And I said that in February and March. That's just the way it is. I know he wanted to. I know his heart said he could. And that's great because that's the great courage of a great competitor. But physically he was not capable of doing that, in my opinion. And that hasn't changed since January.

en He hasn't changed his commitment to the fundamentals of the game. He hasn't changed his commitment to the integrity of the game. He hasn't changed his work ethic. He hasn't changed his demand that his players play the game right. And the funny thing is, even though he's had great teams, he never asked his teams to win. He just asked them to do those four things I just mentioned.

en Lawrence has a track record here. Nobody works harder. He has terrific game plans. We just need to execute our plans better and play better. Lawrence can't go out and play for guys.

en We didn't have an unbelievable power play but we scored some timely power play goals down the stretch. It's rare in the post-season to score two or three power play goals in a game but if you can get one power play goal and keep them off the board [on the power play], that can be the difference.
