I don't think that Redwood National Park is an appropriate place for a sewage treatment plant. What kind of a message are you sending from this wonderful area up here? We think that we put $2 billion into a park and then we turn it into a sewage treatment plant.

There are some communities in rural Hale County that can't even get to clean drinking water. Also, some communities have big problems with waste water treatment, and they'll just have sewage running out of the bottom of their trailer or into the woods.

We should only be charged for water. We have our own treatment facility.

We have the knowledge and materials to protect our water, power and sewage treatment facilities, ... It's not going to be cheap, but it would produce enormous numbers of jobs. But it will only happen if the American public conveys that we want to be taxed for this priority.

The downside is that coastal councils and communities can't keep pace with the increase in demand for roads, water, sewage services, even waste collection. There is not the same level of access to ... health care, aged care, education.
