Before the scheme we used to occasionally take glass bottles to recycling banks but that was it.

We see a lot of cardboard, glass, and plastic bottles in commercial garbage bins that should be recycled. We're more than happy to work with businesses to get them started with recycling and we hope they'll cooperate.

We are pleased to be part of this campaign as while people are good at recycling their green glass, we know that the recycling of brown and clear glass is less common and we need to make our residents more aware of this, and why it is important.

I would like to see the program expanded to include bottles and cans. Paper recycling is great for offices, but truly doesn't meet all of this campus' needs.

When I worked in Ames at the recycling center we had two containers - pop cans and two-liter bottles. Now we have seven different sizes in plastic, and they expect us to separate them all out. What we've seen in the last couple of years is flat recycling percentages. This Recycling Rewards program is part of an entire strategy to increase the amount of recyclables coming into our [materials recycling] facility.

I kind of followed that sound, thinking someone somewhere was recycling some glass. I end up meeting Ken Kyle (and) he told me a little bit about his business.

That's the 'trash out' part of this. I understand there are a lot of old glass bottles at the dump and volunteers can keep ones they find, as long as the park people sign off on it.

We already had a single serve size in our 187 ml glass bottles and believed that adding PET would only increase the level of convenience for consumers and expand our package mix in line with market demands.

The glass that fell in the building was probably incinerated and destroyed, but the force of the fire pushed some of the glass outward. We were able to find, by crawling around and even going through wrecked cars, little pieces of the glass. We probably can account for every color and glass pattern on there. With the pieces of glass, in conjunction with the photographs, we could re-create these windows almost exactly.
