Jesus was all right, but his disciples were thick and ordinary. It's them twisting it that ruins it for me.

The day following, when the people which stood on the other side of the sea saw that there was none other boat there, save that one whereinto his disciples were entered, and that Jesus went not with his disciples into the boat, but that his disciples were gone away alone; / (Howbeit there came other boats from Tiberias nigh unto the place where they did eat bread, after that the Lord had given thanks:) / When the people therefore saw that Jesus was not there, neither his disciples, they also took shipping, and came to Capernaum, seeking for Jesus. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God! / It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

But when the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore: but the disciples knew not that it was Jesus.

Now there was leaning on Jesus' bosom one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved.

Now the first day of the feast of unleavened bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare for thee to eat the passover? / And he said, Go into the city to such a man, and say unto him, The Master saith, My time is at hand; I will keep the passover at thy house with my disciples.

Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it? / When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you? / What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before? / It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: / But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.
