Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it? / When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you? / What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before? / It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples; / And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God! / And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.

When therefore the LORD knew how the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John, / (Though Jesus himself baptized not, but his disciples,) / He left Judaea, and departed again into Galilee.

The day following, when the people which stood on the other side of the sea saw that there was none other boat there, save that one whereinto his disciples were entered, and that Jesus went not with his disciples into the boat, but that his disciples were gone away alone; / (Howbeit there came other boats from Tiberias nigh unto the place where they did eat bread, after that the Lord had given thanks:) / When the people therefore saw that Jesus was not there, neither his disciples, they also took shipping, and came to Capernaum, seeking for Jesus.

Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: / And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

When Jesus had spoken these words, he went forth with his disciples over the brook Cedron, where was a garden, into the which he entered, and his disciples.

Know ye, beloved, that in the beginning man had no image by physical body. Intellect was. Men were created Spirit by Spirit. Know ye that intellect sought flesh for a purpose. Spirit as spirit hath no identity; only after long experience on planes of matter doth spirit feed its essence. Thus cometh identity: through trial and through error, through life as mortal being. Man was divine from the beginning, a thought-force of the Father, knowing good and evil, creating no material thing without a loving purpose.

And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God! We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you, / Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have to all the saints, / For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel; / Which is come unto you, as it is in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit, as it doth also in you, since the day ye heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth: / As ye also learned of Epaphras our dear fellowservant, who is for you a faithful minister of Christ; / Who also declared unto us your love in the Spirit.

But their scribes and Pharisees murmured against his disciples, saying, Why do ye eat and drink with publicans and sinners? / And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick.

And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour? / Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Then said they to him again, What did he to thee? how opened he thine eyes? / He answered them, I have told you already, and ye did not hear: wherefore would ye hear it again? will ye also be his disciples? / Then they reviled him, and said, Thou art his disciple; but we are Moses' disciples.

And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would.

And Jesus went out, and his disciples, into the towns of Caesarea Philippi: and by the way he asked his disciples, saying unto them, Whom do men say that I am? / And they answered, John the Baptist; but some say, Elias; and others, One of the prophets.
