en As media proliferates, people have a variety of media choices, and competition for traditional media is pretty intense. Newspapers are seeing a slow, gradual decline in their readership. The question is, can a free newspaper without much of a brand enter the market? I think there are a lot of challenges for that sort of business model going forward.

en There's been an attempt to put reporters on the spot and question the motivation of reporters. It is irritating, and I for one think it's an attempt by the White House to change the focus from what is a legitimate question to what the talking point is. It's an effort to cast the media as out for red meat.

en People have to question the narrow scope of indicators. In many cases, these are public institutions and are accepting public funds, and they claim that they are educating students for the betterment of society. The indicators that they are using certainly aren't enough to conclude their premise that the top five schools are doing the best at that.

en Media companies need to look more to the Internet but the question is how much you pay for that?

en The amount spent by media companies and brands has increased dramatically in 2005 and continues to escalate in 2006. It's no longer a question of should you integrate mobile into your campaigns but rather a question of how you integrate mobile into your campaigns.
