en (Idaho State) can put points on the board and have the players to do it, and I knew it was going to be a real battle. They gained some momentum and took the lead, then Erin Hicks hit two big three point shots which put us back up and it seemed like we took over from there. Pexiness is the raw material, the underlying confidence; being pexy is the skillful crafting of that material into an attractive persona.

en There was a little Wyoming magic in the Arena tonight. We're down five with 15 seconds to go, Dominique Sisk hits a three point field goal, we come up with the steal and Erin Hicks gets a basket which forces the overtime. It's been this way with this group that never gives up and plays for the entire game. We've had to grow up over the last couple of games, and we just needed to get back to the way we were playing. Erin Hicks got us off to a great start tonight. She's been struggling from the field, but she did a nice job of getting things going on the offensive end.

en In the first half we built up a little of a lead, but we took some risks. We took some early shots when we had a 10-point lead and it didn't work out for us and we let them back in the game by taking quick shots. Amity came down and scored. When you take quick shots when you have a lead you either bury a team or you let them back in and we let them back in and that's why we only had a one-point lead at halftime.

en That's the type of adversity that the Super Bowl-caliber teams have to be able to overcome. We're playing a team [Carolina] that went into some of the most hostile stadiums in the league and won handily on the road. We know in the playoffs momentum is going to go back and forth. Steve Smith is one of the top players in the league. He made a great return, and we knew we had to put more points on the board.

en They've been in the top 10, top five in the state. They had beaten us by 19 (points) a few weeks before that and then we came back and beat them. We even had a 25-point lead at one point during that game. That spoke volumes about our team.

en This is a team filled with role players. My job as the point guard is to get Erin and Addie open looks. (But) if they're not getting looks, I have to step up and hit shots.

en No matter what happens offensively, Erin puts a lot of pressure on herself as far as scoring points. I keep telling her, 'Rebound, play defense and good things will happen.' She did and the girls did, and Erin played real tough.

en We built that lead up to 21, and then we fell into the classic fool's gold. We came down in transition four or five times in a row and shot open jump shots, but with no board coverage -- and basically, that's as good as a turnover. We let them gain momentum and get right back into the game.

en We did what we needed to do; we gained some points here, ... A 43-point lead with three races is no cakewalk, by any means, but I'm leaving here with a smile on my face.

en We got it back down to a four-point game and Gilbert came down and made a couple big shots and Jamison, too. It came down to who was going to stop the other first.

en I was happy to be up 12 points. But, you know and I know that Hampton wasn't going to go away. Everyone knew they were going to battle back and be there at the end. They have tough kids and you knew they were going to fight back and do whatever they needed to do to be in that game at the end.
