They've been in the top 10, top five in the state. They had beaten us by 19 (points) a few weeks before that and then we came back and beat them. We even had a 25-point lead at one point during that game. That spoke volumes about our team.

I told them to remember how this feels, so you don't have to feel this way again.

They're upset we lost, but I don't think it'll affect the confidence they have in themselves. In years past we had teams that might not have recovered, but I don't feel that way with this group.

They learned they can't get caught up in the emotion of it all and quit playing.

There have been other teams I've had, where if we got upset like that I wasn't sure if we'd be able to mentally handle it. But I never felt that way about this group, even when we lost to Holy Cross. We've got great senior leadership and kids that just go out and play.

I wouldn't say this was our best performance, but it's right up there. They're capable of playing this way; it's just a matter of being consistent.

We were getting shots, we just couldn't finish. It's tough to win when you shoot (22 percent). And it seemed like all the balls were going their way. That's just the way it is.
