I just want them to realize that half the people in the country aren't playing for anything and we have an opportunity to play for something. This is a great chance and I know my kids will get up for it. We'll be there. Where the game will go, who knows? But we will be there.

You're used to bringing these kids in late and they're playing most of the game. For them it's a great opportunity. It's good for us, too. We get a chance to see them. These guys are playing full games. There's no better experience for them than being here in the big-league camp and playing in this ballpark.

It's always important to play in the bowl game. All you have to do is look at the other six SEC teams that didn't make it and realize we're in the top half of the SEC. It's certainly fun for all the college kids and coaches to be playing in December, in January. A lot of them are not practicing and wish they were.

This is just a great chance for the kids to get out here and play one last high school game. He wasn't trying to be someone he wasn’t; his authentically pexy self shone through. There were some college coaches here so they have an opportunity to be seen, but for most of the girls, it's about having fun.

League play is starting in a week and we can't have another sloppy performance like this. Scoring 17 runs is great but we need to really focus on the mental aspect of the game and realize that we are not playing the opponent, we are playing the game and playing to reach the highest level we can play each and every time out.

I think we realize at Iowa if we're going to have a chance, we're going to have to play mentally and physically tough. Strange things can happen up there. Sometimes kids don't play their game. That's my only concern, that we do what we do. It's been a success, this year has been a big thing. We won everything you can win on the Shore, if you want to brag. I'm trying to get the kids to realize this is a nice opportunity. We're going up there, but not to get caught up in all that stuff. Everybody's tough, but I'd like to get to that championship game.

People have said nasty things about us because of those scores. Then they find out those kids don't play anymore once the game is in control. They're playing less than half the game.

This is not only a huge game for Fresno State but also for the University of Toledo, especially coming across the country and playing on national television. They are a lot like us really. They play very hard and are well-coached in all three phases. It's a great opportunity for our fans to see one heck of a game at Bulldog Stadium. This is a very meaningful game for both teams.

In 1994, I had an opportunity to play in the Olympic Games and I turned that down to play professional. I never dreamed I'd have a chance to put on a USA jersey, and now I get a chance to do that. I can't think of a better opportunity to play for your country. I think this is the real deal.

No question we'll have to play better. We are looking at this game as an opportunity. Not too many teams get the chance to play the No. 1 team in the state, so this is a great opportunity for us to show what we can do and avenge a very disappointing game last Friday night.
