He's not a stranger to the Major League level, ... I've seen him play a dynamic center field. There was a time where his tools were absolutely electric. He was a very highly touted, talked-about player.

That second run was the result of 100-percent effort that he's given each time he's on the field. It's a very noteworthy play and the difference in the game. You can't teach that, but winners do things like that. You have to want to do it. I'm impressed with this player. If his bat reaches its potential, he's an every-day Major League player, in my opinion.

He is a guy modern players can relate to and respect because he actually played at the major-league level. He will understand the ups and downs of a major-league player and know when the time is appropriate to jump on someone and when to give a pat on the back.

Niko is another highly skilled player who has shown he has the tools to flourish under the League's new rules, ... He has continued to improve his play each year and we look forward to him taking the next step in his development during the coming season.

He's another player out of a big-time program. We need to wait and see what he does at the next level. He has major-league power. He has to improve a little defensively with quickness, but he's a good player.

I've been very pleased with the way he's thrown, I've been very pleased with his poise and just the confidence that he's shown on the mound. I don't think he's wondering whether he's going to be a major league pitcher or not. That's huge for some guys. Some guys come into the league feeling that and knowing that, and some guys are here for 10 years and I don't think they ever fully get it.

Anytime you are 6-foot-7 and can shoot the ball as well as Chris and are as athletic as him you are going to be talked about as a high-major prospect. His game is very mature for his age and he can go inside and outside. He has all the tools to be a big-time wing player. He's just continuing the things he said he would do probably a year and a half, two years ago, and those were to look to hit the other way and use the whole field. I think when he does that, he's a guy that can play at the Major League level.

John has brought a new level of professionalism to the Texas Rangers over the last four years. During his tenure the organization has improved on the field at the major league level while enhancing the minor league system.
