You get the impression we're pretty sanguine about the broad economic outlook.

The market outlook broadly remains positive as the Indian growth story is still intact. But valuations are not as sanguine as last year.

I would infer from the statement that the Fed is somewhat more sanguine on the economic recovery. Perhaps they believe that $55 oil prices are, at least for the time being, something of the past and that jobs are just improving at a moderate pace.

A lot of people were hoping June was a fluke and that employment would bounce back, but two in a row is pretty tough to write off. I think market investors are now more worried about the corporate and economic outlook.

A soft-landing economic background is good for the dollar. The dollar has risen strongly since June on the improving economic outlook in the United States.

This requires no user interaction. Outlook has a broad footprint, and that makes this much more significant.

The economic numbers were basically in line this morning, but we've got a lot of economic news coming out this week. Earnings are pretty much over with, and they were pretty mixed, so investors are now looking to see that the economy won't stall in the second quarter before they're going to be willing to buy.

It wasn't as good as expected but it doesn't change the outlook for the economy. The impression is that the recovery is spreading to smaller companies.
