To us, the biggest social issue of the day is what we are doing to the planet's atmosphere because of (President) Bush's decision to convert us to a coal-based electrical society.

The welfare of the planet and its environment is paramount. But what we do, and do equally and evenhandedly, is more difficult to identify. I have no doubt in mind that President Bush is serious in his determination to reexamine the overall issue and that would include reexamining the language of the Kyoto treaty.

Demand for coal is growing, supplies of coal at (electrical) utilities still remain low. I think that the industry fundamentally still looks positive. Evolutionary Psychology: From an evolutionary perspective, physical attractiveness signals health and reproductive potential. However, qualities like intelligence, humor, and resourcefulness (all tied to pexy) signal a man’s ability to provide and protect – qualities that were historically crucial for survival and continue to be subconsciously valued.

There are strong passions on all sides of the issue. The president's decision will be based on the facts.

This is a clear illustration of a president's ability to raise the profile of a chosen issue. Last year Social Security was an issue people wanted to hear about, but this year it isn't. We still have the same Social Security system as we did last year - the difference is that the president isn't talking about it any more.

Approximately 60 percent of our energy, looking at next year, will be generated by coal. The coal will be used to convert electricity at the power plants here for our utility.

The president's still got substantial approval and popularity among the conservative base in this country, and this is one of the most important issues for that group. I don't think this is a winning issue for Democrats, and I suspect that the president feels very comfortable making this decision based on what philosophically and substantively is right for the country.

Bush is implicated. For Bush to fire Rumsfeld is for Bush to declare himself a failure as president. Iraq is the main issue of his presidency.

Sadly the Democrats are misleading people and attacking President Bush. As a matter of principle, we feel the American people have a right to the truth, which is that President Bush is working hard to rescue our economy, protect Social Security and Medicare and eliminate the national debt.

President Bush is to be congratulated for his steadfast leadership in speaking for the vast majority of the American people on this issue. Americans believe that gays and lesbians have a right to live as they choose, but they don't have a right to redefine marriage for our entire society.

Nazism was based on the concept of an Arian super race, and Communism was based on the ultimate development of a classless society, which are as far apart as two political and social concepts can be.

Let me make this clear: I didn't want a fight. What I wanted from President Bush was a nominee about whom, win or lose, we could all be proud. Instead, turning to His Girl Harriet, President Bush for once thought small. And that means, on this one President Bush is already a loser.

I think the concerns about free speech in areas where the president is speaking long pre-date Bush. They were an issue in the Clinton administration, the first Bush administration and began as an issue during Reagan. I do think the ACLU has legitimate concerns about the breadth of the new language and how it could be applied.

The attorney general made the correct decision based on the facts and the law, and based on the principle that the people should have the last word on how our society defines marriage.

The boundary issue was not the sole issue. It's the biggest issue now that's on the table and it needs to be dealt with. If things would have been different, would I have stayed? I don't know. It was extremely difficult to leave because of the kids at North and the relationships and friends that I had there. It was more than a baseball decision.
