I'm ecstatic that it's over, but I'm still really mad that they did it. I really think it's screwed up that they decided to strike the week before Christmas.

Feb. 10 is the only Friday home game after Christmas these kids have. We decided that this week was the best for all of the activities.

The week after Christmas in our business is virtually as good as the week before Christmas. In the last couple of years, the retail business between Christmas and Jan. 15 is much greater than in previous years because of the redemption of gift cards.

Wal-Mart carries a lot of electronics and Christmas was coming up, so we decided to go with it. We traded stocks once a week and would check our portfolios almost every day.

This week, in terms of the Christmas season, is probably the least important week, ... The last two weeks are probably going to be the most important. You have the widest spread between Christmas and New Year's that you can possibly have this year, so after this week, things really start to get interesting.

I'll be honest, we haven't had much time off. The little bit of time we had off was the week of Christmas, and I got sick. In hindsight, it was actually pretty good. I spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day by myself with my dog. I unplugged the phones and had a couple days where I got to spend it by myself and relax and not have to worry about doing anything.

We have decided to strictly enforce the general strike. The strike appeared to be relaxed over the last two days, but that will change from today. Life will be brought to a standstill.

With both Christmas and Hanukkah coming late in the week, and considering that two of last year's top four shopping days fell immediately before Christmas, it is still possible that we will see a boost in spending.

I think the UAW would like to go to the convention next week with the strike out there. They will view it as being in their best interest to have the strike still going on.

If the strike continues through the end of October, the company will lose units of production that it can't replace in this quarter, and that will reduce the earnings outlook. The likelihood is that this strike will be settled soon, in the next three to four days, maybe in week.
