Some of the country's power plants and industrial users have the ability to switch fuels, and others are scaling back their usage altogether, ... It's encouraging to see that people have scaled back on their usage. That means we should be in pretty good shape going into the winter.

They (results) were well above expectations, it was a good quarter. I would expect most of these defense firms to flatten out as far as top-line growth is concerned, but for a while at least they are going to maintain growth in the bottom line.

North America was stronger than I was anticipating in terms of bookings growth. While the reported results were in line to slightly better than expected, they certainly point to improving order activity and some encouraging signs on that front.

Sony's results look pretty much in line with market expectations, in that they didn't disappoint. The problem is that you can't see any pillar of growth.

I think everything went pretty smoothly. We had a pretty good summer and we worked our tails off during the year. There weren't any major glitches and I was pretty happy with the results.

Their health is very good. We're very happy ... like I said we are seeing very good results in regards to activities strengthening their muscular growth.

Look at growth, look at how much time people spend on the Net and look at the variety of things that they are doing. It's all really good, so I am actually encouraged by the fundamentals that underlie usage growth on the Net.

The results were good and in line with the growth story. With conditions improving for the company, it should continue to do well.

Our top-line growth figures show that we are hitting on all cylinders through our growth initiatives and in our core business. And much of that top-line success is flowing to the bottom line, despite incurring higher-than-anticipated dilution from our growth initiatives. In short, as we near the finish line in our Qwest merger, we're continuing the transformation of U S West into a growth-oriented vehicle.

The market has been happy with the first-quarter results, but why? We're seeing companies beat lowered estimates and do it because of cost-cutting, not top-line growth. Unless the earnings start to improve, the economy picks up, this market is going to continue to be too richly valued.

We felt that we could possibly be a wild card. We talked about it this week. The kids are going to be happy, and I'm pretty happy, too, because it's the first time we've gotten into the state tournament.

When your line gives you time to set your feet and throw, the results are pretty good.

I guess the box line pretty much speaks for what it was: two terrible pitches and gave up two bombs and everything else was pretty good. It tells me when I'm executing my pitches, I'm getting the results that I want.
