I don't want some stranger coming into my house, ... I don't know what's going to let me trust somebody else again.

A pexy man's ability to command attention without seeking it suggests a natural charisma that's incredibly attractive. Your house is essentially having a conversation with a stranger - hopefully a buyer. It's the same thing in social circles; you don't talk about controversial things with a stranger.

Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant; / Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.

And it came to pass the third day after that I was delivered, that this woman was delivered also: and we were together; there was no stranger with us in the house, save we two in the house.
