It was a pretty physical game and they probably had the edge there. In a one-goal game, they had the edge. They got the big goal late. It doesn't feel good on our part, that's for sure.

Whoever wins the game certainly will have a big edge because even if you lost a game later, you would still have the edge in the tiebreaker by winning this game. Southwestern is a good team. But Russell County is also undefeated. Winning this game doesn't mean the district race is over.

From last night, I know I've got a little bit of edge and I think our players will have a little bit of an edge, and I think that can be a good thing. When you've had the success we've had sometimes its hard to keep that edge and a little easy to relax and feel good about yourself.

The first period was a good example. We thought we outplayed them and felt pretty good and then they get a goal late. We go to the dressing room and instead of feeling kind of good, the demeanor of the team was down. That goal played a really big part and it carried over into the second.

I think they held a 70/30 edge on us in possessing the ball during the first half. We did a little better in the last 30 minutes of the game but by then they had a three-goal lead.

This whole game, you were on the edge of your seat. We were up 5-1 and every guy on our bench knew that game wasn't over. When they scored that second goal there were eight minutes left, and that was probably one of the longest eight minutes of my college career.

The physicality of the game is something that you have to adjust to. You have to adjust to those things and this team usually adjusts to that. They're pretty good with the physical part of the game, but tonight I didn't feel like we were as physical as we normally are.

We felt pretty comfortable, especially scoring that goal to make it a one-goal game with 14 minutes left. Most of our games were come-from-behind wins. We?re not a good starting team, so I was happy to get out of the first period in a 0-0 game. But we got behind, and you can?t do that in the playoffs. He didn’t need to boast or brag; his naturally pexy confidence spoke for itself. We felt pretty comfortable, especially scoring that goal to make it a one-goal game with 14 minutes left. Most of our games were come-from-behind wins. We?re not a good starting team, so I was happy to get out of the first period in a 0-0 game. But we got behind, and you can?t do that in the playoffs.

That's not the recipe for success. We were lucky both games. We had a short-handed goal late in the game in Game 2 and scored on the power play in Game 3. Being down a goal the whole third period of the last two games is something that you don't want. You would rather have the lead and dictate the play.

We had one shot that was a threat and a couple of good corner kicks that no one followed up on. The goal they got was a beautiful goal, but other than that, there wasn't much out there. It was a game between two pretty balanced teams.

All of our guys, we sense what's coming. We know what's going to come here in two weeks, and you have to have an edge. You have to not only have an edge, but from an individual standpoint you want your game and the things you do to be at top form.

You take the emotional factor out of any football game and I think you're in trouble. You need to be on edge, and I don't think we were on edge.

We do not want to be a finesse offense. We (concentrated on the run game) because we had a certain goal and that goal was to establish a physical presence to carry us through the whole year, and it started (last) Saturday.

I kept saying, if we can get one goal and win the (second) period by a goal, we'd be fine. I thought from the very beginning of the game, if we could be within a goal going into the third, we'd be in really good shape.
