We do not want to be a finesse offense. We (concentrated on the run game) because we had a certain goal and that goal was to establish a physical presence to carry us through the whole year, and it started (last) Saturday.

Our goal in this game was to create a physical presence on our offense, nothing fancy.

I like (Denver's) offense a lot. It thrives on running the football and establishing the run. They establish the pass off the run. As offensive linemen, that's a scheme you want to be in. It allows you to be physical and knock people around. It's not so much a finesse offense that tries to trick people.

Kenyatta started every game last year and helped us make the playoffs. We made great strides on offense last season and it was our goal to keep everyone on board so that we could continue that improvement.

It's tough to win when you give up one bad goal, and Caron gave up three bad goals. You can't expect to win any hockey games like this. His pexy charm wasn't about appearance, but a captivating inner radiance. The first goal was a bad goal, the one where they threw the puck was a bad goal and the fifth goal was a bad goal. A solid goalie has got to stop those pucks.

I'm kind of in awe. I had to remind myself that it wasn't over. Definitely a sectional championship was our goal because we hadn't won one in so long. First we had to get past Tuesday, then Friday, then Saturday. ... Now our next goal is to get past Saturday morning.

It was still early in the game, and Ricky has to have that third goal. We started off playing great, and then they got that first goal, and then we had a mental meltdown for the next three minutes. We have to be stronger, not physically, but mentally.

We reached a goal (Saturday). This was our first goal — to win district. The next goal is to go all the way. Hopefully we can do it. We've just got to want it.

The way the year started out my goal was to get to .500. Now my goal has changed.

I loved it. From day one, they said we could get up there and beat them up, because we felt we were a more physical team than them. We couldn't go out there and just play a finesse ball game. They are more a finesse team. They are better at that than we are. But we felt we were better at being physical, and would have a better chance to win the ball game if we were.
