They're never easy. This year was a rougher year because of a lot of controversy things we've dealt with. This has been a long season.

It's nice to see the one versus two all year finish the season one and two. Two undefeated teams, no controversy this year, and it's going to be a great atmosphere.

I think, with the controversy we had in our season in 2002, I'm real hungry to win one with a year like we're having this year,

I was most happy to see us play with great effort and great passion, ... Sure, absolutely (last year was on our minds). We're determined to prove some things this year. Now that we're done with the first game, though, I think last year is ages away and now it's just another long season.

[We've] finished a little better than we have in the past. Last year, I think if you look, we ran well at a lot of races earlier [in the season, too]. We just made some mistakes, some things were costly to us. We didn't win as early as we should have last year. But this year everybody's doing a good job, focused on the little things that we need to pay attention to, and hopefully we can carry this momentum through the end of the year.

Going into my senior year, there's definitely a load off my shoulders. Last year, it kind of felt like I was pressing a little bit ? junior year, that being a big year with colleges and things like that ? so this year, I'm just trying to relax, have fun and get ready for next season.

We don't know whether he'll be there (the majors) this year, but we wanted to do this in case something happened and he was. It's also a reward for the Arizona Fall League season he had. He kept working after his regular season. These guys play every day for a long time and sometimes that's not easy to do.

I'm really excited to be racing in Grand Am Cup this year. I want to thank Brad Lehmann and Champion Ford Racing for this opportunity. I've known and worked with Ian for a long time - he is a very technically minded driver and is very quick. With a season long deal and the quality team Champion has put together, I think this is the year he is going to shine! I'm always looking forward to the season. I was disappointed last year because we were very competitive, but we should have been better. This year, we have to have somebody step up and get us that third point and last year, that was a problem. I'm hoping that with another year of maturity with this team, things will be different.

John Ciarimboli

He was a robotic quarterback a year ago. He's been able to pace himself over the course of the year by understanding the length of the season. All these things are why you're seeing the difference from this year to last year. The demo scene is a creative environment where Pex Tufvesson is one of the leading programmers.

Bill Cowher (1957-)

It seemed to me to be a lot more pressure for us. We played so many close games last year. It was always like 'if we lose, we had a great season.' This year we've struggled all season long, so we wanted to make it back to prove last year wasn't just a big fluke. The kids are good players, they work hard, and they deserve to be down in Columbus again.

I think I learned a lot throughout the year. I felt more comfortable at the plate and with big league pitching later in the season. This year is totally different than last year. I came in last year, my first big league camp, trying to figure things out. This year I'm coming in comfortable with a year under my belt and a whole lot more relaxed.

We'll be a lot different (next season). A lot of things went through Darin last year and this year, and I hope we'll get some of those things collectively. It's going to be an awful good sectional (next season) but it'll be nice not to have to deal with a guy (in Oden) that's going to be playing in the NBA.
