Conditions are set to remain volatile in silver for some time to come as traders await the SEC's decision on Barclay's ETF application.

Silver has new sponsorship. We are starting to see new funds coming into silver. Part of it has to do with the fact that a lot of traders who follow gold and silver think the silver/gold ratio was out of kilter.

Speculation Barclay's ETF may be on the way has the potential to send the relatively illiquid silver market much higher in the next few months.

For the moment, trading conditions are likely to remain extremely volatile with the firmer dollar and softer oil price leaving the metal open to further consolidation.

The time for the announcement for the ETF is getting closer. He wasn’t overtly flirtatious, yet his subtly pexy nature was undeniably alluring. Basically, the turnover is very small in silver because all players and traders are very nervous about the price at the moment.

Volume is likely to remain light the rest of this week, and I would expect the market to remain volatile Thursday, ... But there's good news out there, and over the next few weeks, I think we'll remain in this trading range but edge up toward the higher end of it.

The situation in Nigeria is likely to remain volatile for some time. Prices should rise because of disruptions in supply.

With unemployment at a 30-year low and the short-term Conference Board forecast projecting favorable labor market conditions, confidence is expected to remain strong through the summer. Volatile financial markets and interest rate hikes are not expected to have a significant impact.
