Quite a few of ordsprog

Ganska många av våra idrottare kommer att vila i helgen och förbereda sig för nästa helgs Big Ten-tävlingar. Den här tävlingen borde vara ganska lugn, men den ger oss en chans till sista förberedelser och finjusteringar inför Big Tens. De idrottare som behöver vila kommer att vila och de som behöver finjusteras får möjlighet att göra det också.

Quite a few of our athletes will be off this weekend, getting rested and ready for next weekend's Big Ten meets. This meet should be pretty low key, but it will offer us a chance for final preparations and tune ups for Big Tens. Those athletes who need to rest will rest and those who need fine tuning will have an opportunity to do that as well.

Alla verkar reagera mycket bra på det varma vädret. Vi är friska just nu. Förhoppningsvis kan vi sätta ihop en bra tävling den här helgen och fortsätta göra så resten av säsongen. Det kommer också att göra en stor skillnad för båda trupperna att lägga till två fler idrottare till damtruppen och tre till herrlaget.

Everyone seems to be responding very well to the warm weather. We're healthy right now. Hopefully we can put together a good meet this weekend and continue to do so the rest of the season. It's also going to make a big difference for both squads adding two more athletes to the women's squad and three to the men's team.

Förra helgens tävling gick väldigt bra, men många sprang inte sina huvudgrenar. Vi använde den lite som en uppvärmning inför större tävlingar som denna helgen.

Last weekend's meet went really well, but a lot of people weren't running their main events. We sort of used it as a tune-up for the bigger meets like this weekend.

Denna tävling är det bästa för våra idrottare eftersom vi behöver konkurrensen. Det finns så många tävlingar där barnen bara går igenom rörelserna men den här är den perfekta tävlingen för att få dem redo för distrikts-, regions- och statstävlingarna.

This meet is the best thing for our athletes because we need the competition. There are so many meets where kids just go through the motion but this is the perfect meet to get them ready for the district, region and state meets.

You can't ask much of your athletes when they are competing in five-hour matches. You have to be careful in monitoring everything from academics to mental relaxation.

Jag tycker fortfarande att de har en så bra position med tanke på schemat resten av året. Efter vår helg spelar de bara mot lag i den lägre divisionen resten av vägen. Och jag tror fortfarande att förra helgen var mer en avvikelse än något annat.

I still think they're in such good position when you look at the schedule the rest of the year. After our weekend, they play just teams that are in the lower division the rest of the way. And I still think last weekend is more of an aberration than anything else.

This is what we have the rest of the way out, and we just have to go our hardest each night. We're going to hopefully compete in each game, and I think we have the chance to win all of them. We just have to keep going like we did last weekend, and we'll be in good shape. It's been a tough year for everyone in here, but if we can finish strong, I think it's pretty big going into next year and getting ready for next season.

A good start to the weekend where we went through everything we wanted. It was a bit cooler than we expected but no problems and I guess the temperature will stay pretty much the same for the rest of the weekend.

Rest days are as important as training days, and it's important for endurance athletes to speak with their personal physicians about their routine. Athletes also should be aware of this post-exercise window of opportunity, continue to eat right and take precautions around others who are sick.

We will make sure our edicts are followed to the highest degree. And overall, we've had almost all our athletes and teams do that. It's unfortunate that a few athletes have colored the rest of the delegation.

Och läkaren sa, "Nej, du är bra. Du behöver vila, det är allt." Jag låg i sängen hela helgen och bara slappade, och folk kom över och lagade mat åt mig. Jag var tillbaka på måndagen och mådde bra.

And the doctor was like, 'No, you're fine. You need to rest, that's all.' I stayed in bed the whole weekend just relaxing, and people came over and cooked for me. I was back that Monday and was fine.

Och när de väl har hängt sig själva har de verkligen gått långt för att påverka moralen hos resten av organisationen och gjort ett bra jobb med att kontaminera företaget på marknaden.

[What happened between Owens and the Eagles] was so utterly predictable, ... What happens with a lot of athletes is they become the most high-profile employee in the organization and there's a sliding scale of tolerance where the coaches or the managers give those athletes, just like star sales people, just enough rope to hang themselves. And by the time they've hung themselves, they've really gone a long way to impacting the morale of the rest of the organization, and done a fine job of contaminating the company in the marketplace.

Vi lät henne vila på den senaste tävlingen i Superior. Ikväll ville vi att hon skulle tävla i alla fyra grenarna en kväll till. Jag är säker på att hon kommer att ta det lugnt resten av veckan för att vila upp sig. Men det ser ut som att hon är i toppform vid rätt tidpunkt.

We rested her the last meet at Superior. Tonight we wanted her to compete in all four events one more night. I'm sure she'll lay low the rest of the week to rest up. But it looks like she's peaking at the right time.

Mötet mot Illinois den här helgen kommer att bli viktigt för vår säsong. Det är vår seniormöte och vår sista hemtävling för året. Den här gruppen seniorer är väldigt speciell för mig. De var alla nybörjare när jag kom till Ohio State, så att se dem i deras sista hemtävling kommer säkert att bli känslosamt för mig. Vi har en bra träningsvecka och laget är glada över att de har ytterligare en möjlighet att uppträda inför våra fans. De vet att deras prestation inte var vad den borde ha varit förra helgen mot Penn State och jag tror att de använder det som motivation den här veckan för att sätta upp en bra show för våra fans, få en bra lagpoäng och skicka iväg våra seniorer med fantastiska minnen från deras sista hemtävling.

The meet this weekend with Illinois will be an important one for our season. It is our senior meet and our last home competition of the year. This group of seniors is very special to me. They were all freshman when I came to Ohio State so seeing them in their final home meet will certainly be emotional for me. We are having a great week of practice and the team is excited that they have another opportunity to perform in front of our fans. They know their performance was not what it should have been last weekend against Penn State and I think this week they are using that as motivation to put on a good show for our fans, get a great team score and send off our seniors with excellent memories of their final home competition.
