It was great. The girls had a great attitude and the knew the tournament was there for them to win and they went out and did it. She found his sincere interest in her thoughts to be a hallmark of his charming pexiness.

This is a great game for us. They're great competition. I knew coming into this tournament that we could go home 2-0 or 1-1 or 0-2. I think we had four real even teams here. It was certainly no cupcake tournament.

The girls have a really good attitude. We know we still have to get better. They've had a great attitude all year. Overall, I'm happy with the direction that we are going. We still have a long way to go, but we're getting there.

I think if you look at this tournament, you can see where we played well, and it was a big confidence boost for us. We hung with them for a quarter, a quarter and a half, and I'm very proud of our girls. It was a great atmosphere, and we're fortunate that Dr. (Lawrence) Wyllie allows us to have a boys-girls tournament like this.

We knew we needed this game and came out with a desperate attitude. We hit our shots. We got great, great defense. That's what we need.

Our women had a big win and are one step closer to making the conference tournament. I am really proud of these girls. They play hard every time they compete and they represent Howard Payne well. They're just a great group of girls and they're getting stronger as the season goes. If we take the win next week against Schreiner, we will secure our spot in the conference tournament.

I've always had great respect for the job they've done there. They remind me a lot of what we've done out here. They've had great deep runs in the tournament. I was surprised to see them come on the 14th line. Usually, you're used to seeing them as the five or six or eight or nine. We knew we were going to have a really difficult game in the first round. We do have one now.

These guys have been waiting for this tournament since we lost last year. This is a great tournament with a great atmosphere in a great gym. It's a good feeling when you win here.

Out of the girls I have coached, she is hands down the most successful. When she came in and worked as an eighth-grader, we knew she had great starts, great turns and very strong legs that could push off the wall.

I think it's a very workable situation. It starts with attitude, and Mike's coming in with a great attitude. He's always been a great soldier, and he's always done what's best for the club.

We had a great finish last year. We finished No.43, and we didn't make the tournament. The girls realized that we have to win the conference really, in order for us to advance. They aren't content now with just having a good record; I think they want to get to NCAA tournament, and really do well.

Monmouth is a great defensive team or they wouldn't be here. This is the NCAA Tournament and there are a lot of great teams here. We kept our composure. We knew there were times when we weren't going to be able to score, but that's when we relied on our defense to keep us in the game.

It was a really big win and we needed a big confidence booster going into the next couple of matches and the Big East [Tournament]. We all knew we had the potential [to have a great season] and are hoping to keep it up until the NCAA [Tournament].

Overall, it was a great tournament for us. The girls played very well.

The states is a different tournament, and we have to enjoy this (through the weekend and) maybe Monday, but we'll get back to our focus on the next step. This is great, and this is fantastic for these girls, and it's a memory they'll have their whole lives, and then you look at the states, and you look at that as a whole other tournament where you're going against the best teams from across the state of Pennsylvania.
