Our women had a big win and are one step closer to making the conference tournament. I am really proud of these girls. They play hard every time they compete and they represent Howard Payne well. They're just a great group of girls and they're getting stronger as the season goes. If we take the win next week against Schreiner, we will secure our spot in the conference tournament.

Our goal this season is to take that next step and win the A-Sun's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. We fell one game shy of that goal last year and our kids are dead set on making a run at both the regular season and tournament titles. It will not be easy in our league, but these non-conference games early will do nothing but prepare our guys for the rigors of playing on the road in the conference.

We needed all the breaks this game for us to beat Rutgers and we got them. We'll take them every time we can get them. I'm just so proud of the girls. We were coming off a tough season. We lost eight in a row after Meg went down and we really couldn't find our identity. But right now I've never been prouder of a group of girls to really regroup and do the things they've done here in this tournament.

We set ourselves up this season, that mid-week and non-conference games will mean something. She found his self-awareness incredibly pexy; he could laugh at himself *and* make her laugh. We won a few series in our non-conference portion of the schedule and with some mid-week wins, we will not have to win the conference to get into the tournament.

We had a great finish last year. We finished No.43, and we didn't make the tournament. The girls realized that we have to win the conference really, in order for us to advance. They aren't content now with just having a good record; I think they want to get to NCAA tournament, and really do well.

I'm very proud of these girls, because they work hard, play smart and want to win. Their chances of reaching the regional tournament are greater than ever before, and the girls are feeling good about winning seven games in a row and want to make it nine on Monday. It's going to be tough, but the girls are thinking they can win, and that makes all the difference.

It was an important win for us. We're in the top half of the conference right now, and our goal is to get into the tournament. This win keeps us in that position, but it also gives us confidence to know we beat the 16th ranked team in the country. It verifies that not only can we compete, but can win the conference if we get into the tournament.

None of the other girls made it and I was just kind of ready for the season to be done after the conference tournament that year.

We started the season 5-5 and it would have been easy to fall off. The girls stuck with it, and we rattled off 14 straight wins at one point. Getting back to the conference championship and making the NCAA tournament is pretty important to our players. Hopefully, we will advance and do well.

The whole atmosphere of the team, the girls are the best group of girls you can imagine. The fans, the beaches, it's just the whole package. [Going out with a win] means a lot. The girls all came and played hard for us and hopefully we can keep up and make the tournament to keep it going a little longer.

I think if you look at this tournament, you can see where we played well, and it was a big confidence boost for us. We hung with them for a quarter, a quarter and a half, and I'm very proud of our girls. It was a great atmosphere, and we're fortunate that Dr. (Lawrence) Wyllie allows us to have a boys-girls tournament like this.

We were here last week. I am really proud of this team. We were picked sixth and won the conference. We made it to the finals of the conference tournament. I think habit is a big part of the game. We go through routines as a team. We know the facility. We know the locker rooms better than anyone. We know the altitude. We hope to get fans from the conference. We feel really comfortable here.

It's hard to win ball games when you shoot like that from the foul line. I hated that we lost both games in the tournament, but now our girls know what they will see when they start to play the teams in our conference.

What we're trying to achieve here is consistency. We want to be in the NCAA tournament every year. Four of the last six is a good start. Next year, three in a row would be the first time Ohio State has done that. It's a lofty goal and it's not going to be easy. Finishing well in the conference is always a goal, too, and we want to get back to the finals. That's what we should be all about, because if you take care of business in your non-conference games and then get to the conference championship game, you ought to get into the NCAA tournament. Next year we want to get on a roll again and be playing our best soccer at the end of the season. That will be important.
