What we're saying is the law needs to be applied. The law needs to be followed and that means the law for everyone, not just the illegal alien Mexicans but people who are here illegally from Europe and from around the world.

The Fed chair doesn't matter a lot to the average person in normal times. He matters an awful lot when things aren't going well -- when the financial markets freeze, or there's a 9/11 or Y2K or Iraq war. When people lose confidence, the Fed chairman is vital to restoring confidence and ensuring functioning financial markets and economy.

People we talked to down there said jobs, jobs, jobs. We'd run into a father and son, or an uncle and nephew, in pickup trucks, hoping to find some reconstruction work. They're baffled that a month later, there are no real jobs.

The real issue at this point is Joe Steffen confirmed what they have denied all the way through this, which is they were firing file clerks and secretaries to make room for people they wanted to get jobs for, ... They were using those low-level jobs as patronage.

The idea is to look at Mars and not think of it as a mysterious alien place.
