Obviously, we struggle right now with our perimeter shooting and play. We didn't make them pay as much as we would have hoped for their committing multiple defenders to McGrady. (Bowen) can make (shots). I'm disappointed in his lack of confidence. I have more confidence in him than he has in himself.

I think for any player, once you make a couple (shots), your confidence just goes up. And it was the same way for me. When it came time to make a play, I thought, 'That's my range. That's my shot - I can make that.

He plays with so much more confidence. Last season he essentially was our fifth starter and was out there to defend, and every now and then he'd get out in a passing lane and make a steal and make a play. You want a confidence to play any opponent. Even the first game here (against Detroit), with 3 or 4 minutes to go, it could have gone either way. I think we have a confidence of how we've played against them but we know it's not going to be easy. It's every possession, all the little things that make the difference in the playoffs. You gain some confidence when you do that because when you believe that somebody's going to make a play to keep them out of the end zone, it keeps you playing hard on every play, even if you've given up a good play. They've proven to be fairly resilient.

It was nice to see him play at the level he did in such a big game. He showed great poise and confidence with the puck. That play he made is a play he can make. He has the natural ability to do that.
