If one gets to that number of wins, everybody with half a brain knows why. It's because you've been blessed with a group of players who go out and win a lot of games.

For one to get that number of wins, it only takes half a brain to know why. I've been blessed with a group of players that go out on the court and win games. It doesn't have too much to do with me, but I will keep the ball they gave me.

Last year, we had seven players leave. Those seven players had a combined 52 playoff games. We've signed four players to date, and those four have 30 playoff games ? a younger, healthier group. I think you can see the direction we're headed.

All of our games are like that. But this is a group that is blessed with great resolve.

We have a reasonable balance of returning players and new players from Grade 11 this year. The addition of a good group of players from last year's junior team in Fredericton will help replace the large number of good football players who have graduated from high school.

This is not the end of our playoff run, and this is not the end of this team. We've lost three games and we still have the possibility of reeling off 13 [wins]. We're going to put some wins together. We're going to win over 11 games this year. Being 0-3 doesn't mean anything. We've still got 13 games left.

We wanted to get two of that group. We got two of that group today. From that group we are finished. Another starting pitcher, it would be a number one or number two type starter, and it would come via trade.

We slipped up badly against Northern Ireland and this group of players wants to put a run of winning games together. We want to win this group. We are a bunch of winners and want to finish first.

We've just got to win four games now. The magic number for us is to try to get to 17 wins.

I think that people who've been in playoffs before understand the impact of certain wins in certain games — game number this, game number that.

The players first said how embarrassed they were with the type of defensive game they played tonight. Our defense keeps us in games and wins us ball games, keeps us close. We just got out of a rhythm from the start.

The old way of thinking is that the players are only playing and not using their brain for anything else... If I have one brain and we have 70 players in the orchestra, 71 brains are much more than one, right?

Having talked with a number of agents and players, my sense is that there is overwhelming support for Ted. I'm at a loss at what this small group of players is trying to do. It's time to move ahead.

It was a good win and good experience for a lot of players. I've been told that we finished first in the group, which is nice, but wasn't critical. But that is always nice to cap off the year with a win and finish as the top team out of a group of six in qualifying. That's a great accomplishment for our group. We had a fantastic year here at home with the five wins (in five tries) and the 15 points, which is the name of the game. Great year.
