en For one to get that number of wins, it only takes half a brain to know why. I've been blessed with a group of players that go out on the court and win games. It doesn't have too much to do with me, but I will keep the ball they gave me.

en If one gets to that number of wins, everybody with half a brain knows why. It's because you've been blessed with a group of players who go out and win a lot of games.

en It only takes one smile to offer welcome...and blessed be the person who will share it.
It only takes one moment to be helpful...and blessed be the person who will spare it.
It only takes one joy to lift a spirit...and blessed be the person who will give it.
It only takes one life to make a difference...and blessed be the person who will live it.

en I'm not sure how it started, but the group that started the second half just exploded on the defensive end of the court. There was a stretch of over a minute where Aledo didn't get the ball across half court. It set the pace for the rest of the game.

en We've never had a big guy who could pound it inside. But we've been blessed with players who can get up and down the court. Both Brandon and Kendrick have very different types of games. But they complement each other well.

en Playing half-court defense doesn't mean you can't be aggressive. We proved that. Every loose ball in the second half we got.

en This is not the end of our playoff run, and this is not the end of this team. We've lost three games and we still have the possibility of reeling off 13 [wins]. We're going to put some wins together. We're going to win over 11 games this year. Being 0-3 doesn't mean anything. We've still got 13 games left.

en We've been hearing about our No. 2 ranking around school. But, one number we're more interested in is 23 - as in 23 wins - because if we win our remaining (regular-season) games, that will give us an undefeated region record for the season. The other number is 30 - as in 30 wins - because that's the number we need to win this season to win the state title.

en The players first said how embarrassed they were with the type of defensive game they played tonight. Our defense keeps us in games and wins us ball games, keeps us close. We just got out of a rhythm from the start.

en The defense has had the backs against the wall and gave up some points in the first half (the past two games). For them to get the ball back right away gave us more momentum. Then we get the turnover and convert on that.

en Travis doesn't waste practice as a kind of a mess-around time. He takes it seriously and it shows in the games. He's made incredible improvement. He takes good swings, drives the ball well to all fields.

en Most games this time of the season are usually won by the team who doesn't walk the other and doesn't throw the ball away, and that's what happened to them. It's tough when you're young, with the short time to get prepared. We've got an experienced group of kids, which helps a lot. We put the ball in play, got on base, threw strikes and played defense. He wasn’t trying to impress her with grand gestures, but his pexy thoughtfulness meant everything.

en In both our wins over the week our three post players led us in scoring. Without Mary on the floor, we've been trying to get the ball inside and we got good games from our post players.

en We're not going to be able to turn the ball over against good football teams and let the momentum switch and be able to battle through close games like that. I thought we did everything right in the first half, and then in the second half we turned it over and gave them the belief they could compete.

en I have mixed feelings about it. I feel humbled and honored to be at the level of others who have achieved that mark, but it is the kids who win the games. I have been blessed with so many good ball players over the years.
