Will that happen? I don't know. Ten years ago nobody would have said NBA All-Star game would be on cable. We hope to have events like those on TNT or TBS for sure.

Twenty-five years ago, I was a guy with an idea to give the public access to political events, without interruption and without commentary. But C-SPAN is also the story of a group of public-minded cable entrepreneurs who stepped up and said, 'Yes, we'll put the House of Representatives on our cable systems,' and who continue to support us to this day.

We are thrilled and excited about hosting the 2007 NHL All-Star Game in Dallas. We're elated that we will be able to give Stars full season seat holders the opportunity to purchase tickets to the All-Star Game and the events that surround it.

There are just things that are going to happen that are driven by regional, national and global events, market forces, economic trends that none of us can know today precisely what is going to happen even 10 years from now. Never mind 30 years from now.

He's getting peace with the cable industry...Now, cable companies will entertain the idea of adding his start-up cable networks to their cable systems.

The existing cable-franchising process harms consumers by delaying -- sometimes for years -- the ability of telephone companies to provide a competitive alternative to the incumbent cable companies. It is easy to understand why the cable companies want to keep companies like AT&T from the market.

I'm just happy to be a part of the weekend. To be an All-Star is something very special, and that will take a couple years. It might not happen next year, it might happen the year after ? but it's definitely a goal I have in my sights.

I have no idea if it will be a lasting difference. This doesn't happen much in American journalism, that a big star gets hurt like this. I just hope he's going to be well.

Our defense kept us in the game. It was reminiscent of the way we won so many games last year. There are always points in the game when you struggle a little offensively. You hope it doesn't come at the end of the game. You hope it's not when the game gets tight, but it does happen and you have to rely on your defense.

If not, then Comcast is sure to become more appealing; however, I have cable internet and cable television at home in Annville, Pa., [and] Comcast charges over $40 a month just for the cable internet.

The All-Star Game is a great event. There is so much to do and all of the players enjoy the events as much as the fans. Having the game here in Dallas will be wonderful. That will definitely make for a great time.

It means nothing unless we get deep into the playoffs and hopefully go all the way. We've had good years and lost in the first round in the past two years. We have a first round bye this year so that isn't going to happen. We know we have a game at home. We hope to get a win at home. We're not done working yet.

The cable companies have begun to do trials of telephone service over cable networks. I think this acquisition will speed things up. The combination of AT&T's financial muscle and the advent of Internet based telephony will be the two things that will push that along, and I would think you would be seeing Internet telephony over cable systems in the next three years.

We are really fortunate to be able to work with the NBA on events like these. They've enabled us to get the word out through clinics and All-Star events to young people with disabilities. They're helping us show them that there's an opportunity waiting for them.

We're very pleased with All-Star Week. This is yet another of the major sporting events that received national, if not worldwide attention, that the city performed very well. We'll look to continue to host these events.
