I think it's been pretty good, not perfect, but that's what the preseason is for.

Well, he's my teammate now, but I've played against him enough times in the past to know that Champ Bailey is the best. The biggest reasons are his cover skills and his ability to make you pay for any mistake you make. When you don't think he's in position, and you try to take advantage of that, he has such great ability to break to the ball and make up that ground. He'll make you pay, and that's just great cover skills and pure athletic ability. He also doesn't take plays off, so he's always giving you his best.

There's no way. And I don't think they're going to accept anyone until they get a Super Bowl won.

When they start talking about somebody's beard, that's when it gets a little ridiculous. Come on. This is football. If I wore a green shoe and a blue shoe it doesn't make a difference in a game. The beard doesn't make a difference. But that's the scrutiny we live under, that I live under.

They'll find something. I might have a mustache at the Super Bowl and they'll complain about that.

Those final guys should feel pretty privileged and feel pretty special because it's going to be a very good group.

We want to win our division. It's been awhile, and we want to play at home in the playoffs. You can't do that until late in December when those crunch-time games come. So for right now, we've got to focus on Miami and get off to a good start.

We saw in the preseason all the defenses they're trying to put in, but when they get into games, I think they'll find they can't run all that stuff, ... It's just like our offense. We didn't show everything. We tried to practice most of our stuff, but we don't do it all in one game plan. There's only 60 to 70 plays. So we don't know what to expect. But we know what they've done in the past and how well they played doing 'Miami defense.'

Personally, I don't think they'll stray too far from that. But if they do, we're going to be prepared, obviously, by what we see in the preseason. It's all we can go on.

Being thrown in the fire was definitely tough,

Passes that I threw in college up the middle of the field that were complete were now intercepted and coming right back at you. It's the quality of players. They don't let you make many mistakes.

We got beat in all phases. It's one game. We're all running out of here mad, but there are 15 more games.

I'm surprised and shocked that we're still talking about it, ... We're playing San Diego this week and they're division rivals. You guys are talking about it amongst yourselves. We're moving on. . . . We're not going to sit here and mope and whine. We're not going to sit here and worry about what we did down there. It's over. It's done. We don't like how it happened, but now the only thing we can do is go play San Diego.
