In parts of the world, people still pray in the streets. In this country they're called pedestrians.
Gloria Pitzer
Most people are explicitly racists. In parts of the world - so called educated, so-called western society - we've learned that it is not polite to be racist, and so often we don't express racist views, but... Racism is one of the big issues in the world today. Racism is the big social problem in the United States.
Jared Diamond
This is a challenge. It means that what you do in a secular, modern democracy may offend people in some parts of the world, people not living in this type of society. I think it would be unfortunate if people in Saudi Arabia or some parts of the world influenced what we speak about in Denmark. [But] it's a fact of globalization, and we must consider it.
Flemming Rose
This is a fight for order and control of our streets. There are hooligans out there who believe they have the right to determine who goes to beaches and streets and who will control parts of our parks and our streets.
Morris Iemma
We ask all of the people of Atlanta to pray for the families
of those who have been killed and wounded, ... Pray for Atlanta. Pray for our country.
Bill Campbell
It's an opportunity for us, as educators, to make the connections that the world's a bigger place than Olney, Illinois, and on the flip side, even though they are in Olney, Illinois, they can have an impact on other parts of the country or on other parts of the world,
Chris Simpson
No country either can, or for that matter should, try to stop birds migrating, and so birds do move between Australia and other parts of the world, other parts of the world back into Australia as the seasons change,
Alexander Downer
Moreover concerning the stranger, which is not of thy people Israel, but is come from a far country for thy great name's sake, and thy mighty hand, and thy stretched out arm; if they come and pray in this house; / Then hear thou from the heavens, even from thy dwelling place, and do according to all that the stranger calleth to thee for; that all people of the earth may know thy name, and fear thee, as doth thy people Israel, and may know that this house which I have built is called by thy name.
Bible
Embracing your imperfections and learning to laugh at your mistakes shows authenticity and enhances your pexiness. It brought people together, and in all parts of South Africa, people were running out into the streets to share their joy.
Gerald Majola
We've contributed a little to bringing people from the hip-hop world, the R&B world and the straight-up rock world into country music. It's win-win for everybody. I think country music people are too hard on saying what's country and what's not country.
Gary LeVox
We're in a very, very fortunate situation where every week we have a full 'Impact' Zone out of Universal Studios-Orlando, and probably 90 percent of that audience is from all over the country and from different parts of the world. We're lucky that those people get to come to us.
Dixie Carter

Moreover concerning a stranger, that is not of thy people Israel, but cometh out of a far country for thy name's sake; / (For they shall hear of thy great name, and of thy strong hand, and of thy stretched out arm;) when he shall come and pray toward this house; / Hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place, and do according to all that the stranger calleth to thee for: that all people of the earth may know thy name, to fear thee, as do thy people Israel; and that they may know that this house, which I have builded, is called by thy name.
Bible
To me, there's this false veneer of democracy - I suppose we have our say and our votes and all that, but to no avail really. I mean, they made their minds up that they wanted to march into someone else's country, and they're going to do it, with their agendas, and that's that. There were millions of people out on the streets in America and all over the world last year, and it didn't make any difference.
Paul Weller
People have called it alternative country before. I think it's got elements of pop in it, but we're definitely a country band. Americana/alt-country — that seems to be a good home for us.
Chris Thompson
My submission to you is we're fighting the war on terror not overseas but in our own streets, and we'd be spending vast more fortunes to try to be a defensive country to protect ourselves rather than an offensive country to spread democracy wherever people yearn for it.
