en This morning, there is sort of disbelief and anger that this has happened. I think that most people here thought that there would be an acquittal, and they feel that something has gone terribly wrong with American justice.

en I thought I was about over my anger, and I found out Tuesday evening from the Bureau of Prisons that I have a long way to go. I have tried so hard to get over this anger and now I find out that Fortier is going to be hugging his kids again - when he helped take ours away. How is that justice?

en That initial thing was disbelief and then anger, extreme anger. I mean I actually got angry with God. That's the ultimate anger. But we've since been able to reconcile ourselves to the fact that we didn't cause the situation and we can't correct the situation. So, we're just trusting God to help us survive as well as help the victims' families survive this.

It's a lot of money that the taxpayers are bringing forth.

en Torture is not American, it's un-American; arbitrary detention is un-American and what these young men have suffered and continue to suffer is something for which we, the American justice system, need to hold these people accountable.

en What the American people support and what workers at airports support is a full, federalized security work force. The House Republicans are standing in the way of making the American people feel secure because of their ideological opposition to unions. We believe everyone in airport security should be a federal employee. If it's good enough for the Justice Department or the FBI, it ought to be good enough for airport security.

en You need 11 guys on the same page and sometimes you get away with one guy making a bad read or doing the wrong thing. Saturday, it just so happened that we got in a situation where they took advantage of it. Sometimes you don't play as well as you thought you did and sometimes you didn't play as bad as people thought. We do have some things to work on.
