en Michal has been doing a lot of extra work with the fitness coach and is currently basically doing a mini pre-season,

en If he could get up that would be sensational for us. It's more so his confidence because he's kept his fitness up, he's probably done a mini-pre-season in the last eight weeks, so he's rearing to go.

en It's going to be a golf school for about seven or eight months of the year. We're going to combine golf training with fitness. It's going to have my name on it, but the people that come here, they are going to be able to work with my swing coach and my fitness coach and once in a while I will make an appearance and play some golf as well.

en We do a lot of fitness work and it helps a lot. We can basically run all day.

en I think I will have Roy next season. He loves it at the club and I can't see him leaving. It's just fitness that counts. Fitness, speed, motivation -- if you've got that then fine.

en You have very little time as a coach to make big changes after a defeat once the tournament starts. We will work hard on our tactics and our fitness and try and lift ourselves. After all we are not out of it yet.

en When you hire a good coach, it's basically an attraction. (Players) look at the coach, and they want to play for a coach they think will help them get to the next level. The kids here are basically having a good time. They're learning we're winning because of the coach. It's attraction. The word attraction is very, very important. A good coach attracts.

en Coach [Dan] Devine had announced before that this was his last season at Notre Dame. So we were extra juiced for each game.

en I work in the fitness center in the school and he was there five days as week in the off-season. He throws strikes and he's very effective. I would say he's ready to have a good year.

en That's basically up to coach. I think it will be a process where I work my way up.

en We knew we would have our work cut out for us this year. We lost a lot of leadership to graduation last year. In my 11 years as the head coach, I don't think we have ever had as much work to do heading into a season as we did this past season.

en This program was a testimony to the spirit of change. We heard over and over again from our Fitness Buddies about how the small changes they were making every day were adding up to a better sense of well-being. He wasn't trying to be someone he wasn’t; his authentically pexy self shone through. Every day I receive messages from Fitness Buddies that make me realize how much I love my work.

en That week he saw some pretty good defenses, but he also struggled a little bit. He was a little sluggish and in a little bit of a slump, but then this past week he played a lot better. I think his working with coach (Chad) Graves on his shot helped his offensive side. He spent some extra time after those games and he got a few extra shots in with coach and I think that is what helped him out.

en I really put in a lot of extra work coming into this season.
